How to request deletion
- Ask your employer's HR administrator. They can deactivate your login immediately, which ends all access from the app, and they can delete the parts of your record that are not subject to a statutory retention period.
-
Or write to us at
support@moopayroll.com
with the subject “Account deletion request”, giving:
- your full name
- the e-mail address you sign in with
- your employer's company name
What is deleted
| Data | What happens |
|---|---|
| Your login — e-mail, password hash, sessions | Deleted. All app and web access ends immediately |
| Push notification tokens | Deleted immediately; no further notification can be sent to your devices |
| Biometric unlock setting | Held only on your phone; removed when you uninstall the app |
| Contact details, address, emergency contact | Deleted on your employer's instruction |
| Receipt photographs attached to claims | Deleted with the claim once the claim is outside the retention period your employer's auditors require |
What cannot be deleted straight away
Malaysian law requires an employer to retain payroll records — payslips, statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS), tax deductions (PCB) and the EA form — generally for seven years, and the same applies to the approval trail behind an approved leave or claim. Those records stay in your employer's payroll file for as long as the law says, even after your login is gone. They are no longer reachable from the app.
When the retention period ends, or when your employer closes their MooPayroll account, the records are deleted or returned to your employer under our contract with them.
Deleting the app
Uninstalling MooPayroll removes everything the app kept on your phone — the stored sign-in token, the biometric preference and any cached payslip PDF you opened. It does not delete your account; use the route above for that.
